Just one doubt here:
will a programmer's life be easier on Mac or Window?
what do you think?

I think it doesn't matter the future tends to Mac/ Windows/ Linux. Programmer's life is always tough you may ask Guitaman of how a stupid program can be.
Actually, programmer doesn't care much about the OS platforms or sometimes even Computer Architectures. What they do care is algorithm. It's not much different to write a program for Windows and Linux since we use the same technique but difference implementations.
In the future, most programming/ scripting languages will be able across the platforms such as java, php, jsp, ...

interesting topics
I, myself have a mac but rarely use it. May be the Mac that I have is too slow and out of date and hence I always find it better to use my Windows OS.
About programming in Mac, I have no idea but What I do know is that Mac usually used for Designer and Media works. Xai, my home mate, is a film editor and he explains that Mac is useful to store large file and to convert files into a digital format. So ya,, I think it makes sense to use Mac for such movie editing environment.
Ya, Chea I also think algorithm is the root to good programming. If you have a good algorithm skill, you would develop a very robust application.
Ad-vuth, are you working on Mac right now?

hmm, I might switch from window to Mac in the near future as i want to experience a new environment. but i'm not sure if Mac is a robust platform that supports most of the programming or scripting languages which Window does. Anyway, does Mac support Microsoft office or it has its own office? do you know that?

It's a good thing to want to experience many platform. It will definitely helps you out in the long run.
Yes, Mac does support Windows Office (I think you may have to surf many website for more info on how to download one) FOr mine, it's already built in with Ms Office.
I think it has a scripting language called AppleScript. It may be similar to window scripting host which allows you to perform daily automate task easier.

Why don't you try Linux? Most of software in windows can found their competitors in Linux. The good thing is that all are free and up to date.

if Mac does support MS office, does it mean we can write VB on Mac platform? does Mac support environment for writing C, Pascal, SQL or scripting lang such as PHP, javascript? I think this concerns me the most.
