Content is the king

You probably have heard more than a thousand time about the content is the king, haven't you?

I know I have. And In deed it holds true if you think you would like to increase the number of visitor to your website. So why having content will increase the number of visitor to your site?

The answer lies to the fact that most people turns to Google and other search engine to search for product or information they want. This means that to get more visitors, you need to have your site shown more often in Google search result page. This can be accomplished by having MORE content. Yep, I mean MORE! The more you have content for your site, the easier for people to find your site through search engines.

Having said that, I would always balance between the QUANTITY and QUALITY. I would build more content for Search engines and Quality content for human readers.

You are right Klaas about IBL (Inbound Link) I supposed.

The more IBL you get the better your search engine ranking for most competitive keywords. Am I right, Klass?

The more IBL the better you come up at the SE's yes! If you have a very poor site you can make alot more ( if done right ) then a site with fantastic content, it's just a bit harder!

I'd say develop a site on your pc, once you got it finnished put it online and work on the IBL!

Content is for people coming back to your site, IBL is for coming there for the first time at least!

( it's like a shop, advertise the shop to get them in the shop, and have good products to make them coming back )

That is a pretty funny line about content being queen and IBL being king.

I think while technically true, it is a bit short-sighted. One problem a lot of people have is they spend all their effort on aspects of their site to get the initial visitor and none on getting those people coming back. With lots of IBL and no content, you are always over-spending to get views. It is much easier to get a previous visitor to come back, in terms of total effort, than it is to keep finding new customers.
