Who say? I do want to have an extra one as well for my design work (I was thinking of getting a new laptop for installing some 3D software as my old laptop is full of program and of 4 years of age now. But I think it seems I won't have time to play with the new one either with the work load I have currently, sigh..

Hmm, If I were you, I wouldn't go for Celeron. Well, I think depends on what you need, celeron is not that bad if you dont turn it on overnight

That is a sweet deal, hehe. In singapore, I see some Celeron deal is around 1100Singapore dollar which is around 680US$..
What you intend to use your laptop for, Triumph?

I am going to be using it mostly for writing, some basic web-designing, surfing and maintenance.
I think it fits the bill for what I want. I just hope they get it here soon.
Right now I feel like I am chained to my desk, and it is killing my creativity. I want to be able to go outside or to the local lounge or something and be able to type something up.

I totally understand, Triumph. I can hardly stand being stuck at my desk anymore. When I'm writing long essays it's so hard to concentrate and come up with good ideas when I feel so confined. I want to be able to go anywhere in the house, or to the library, or to a cafe.
I want a laptop so bad, but I'm still a bit short on cash. I also can't decide what to get. Those 12" macs are nice, but still expensive. I've just heard from a lot of people that bigger laptops are a hassle to carry around. I would mainly be using mine for writing too, and maybe a bit of design, so I wouldn't need anything that is that good.
What do you guys think of mac laptops? I used to have an imac, but eventually it broke. I now have an old, crappy PC. I can't decide which kind I want. I like PCs and Macs... hmmmmm.

I have heard some pretty good things about the mac laptops. I use so many windows applications though, it might not fly. Although I just learned that the new mac os may run XP applications natively which would be amazing. Imagine running any xp lap directly on your mac laptop without any slowdown or kludge.
Anyways, I actually opted for the larger one because the last laptop I had was extra small. It is very slim, weighs like 3 lbs and such. I thought it would be great because it was so portable, but the much smaller keyboard and screen were just not good for me. Using a 19" monitor on my desktop now, going to 15.4" will still be a bit of an adjustment, but the laptop does have a full-fledged keyboard, which is great.
Anyways, I am just becoming extremely non-productive at my desk every day for 12 hours. So when I need to be a bit more creative it will be nice to sit on the back patio or go to the park or whereever I might go.
