Well there would need to be a basic project design / framework which can than be broken down into modules which would then be assigned to individuals so that everyone is working separately but to a common goal with common stucture.....hope that makes sense.

cat, mike is about right about working in a team. Just to add on that, here is my comment:
usually, a team will consist of supervisors and team members. In general, supervisor will design a plan for every members to work with. In the plan, it usually consist of timeline and modules to work it. For instance the project may have many features and hence each member can work on one feature at a time.

Hi Mike , always like your little graphic! haha.
Cat, one things I usually do is to have a list of features I want to include in a product.
The other is based on your team's expertise. For instance, if one guy good at graphic design, let him do that job while those good at programming, let him perform that.
When I was working in a large project, I was in charge of reporting function of the project while my teammate takes up other features implementation.
Mike, what do you have in mind?
Cat, what kind of project are you undertaking now?

I see,
probably the first thing is to identify the features such as loan section, User registration, user login/session, emailing reminder etc.
Another person can also take care of reporting features such as how many books were borrowed in a day etc.
Once you get into doing it, it will become naturally, don't stress too much.

Well you seem to be covering the subject nicely.
When I was training for the civil aviation authority in the uk students were sent on an outward bound course ie two weeks learning to work together as a team for hiking expeditions, rockclimbing etc so that hopefully the lessons learnt regarding human interaction would then be used in the workplace.
And yes relax...all should fall into place naturally
regards
mike
