What are you going to choose among JSP, ASP, PHP??

Personally I don't like microsoft script, so I don't like ASP.

PHP is not mature of OOP.

JSP is something that I'm familiar with since it exploits a lot from J2SE. The good thing about it is that it's well known of OBP, Inheritant, Polymorphism, ...

The bad thing is that I have never come across ISP providing JSP service besides my school.

How about you??

How about .NET?

Among all, I prefer .NET and PHP.

To me, .NET is a good framework to develop a robust application, both online and desktop. It has many build in API ready for the programmer and hence it's definitely easy to build any application from scratch. Although Microsoft is a commerce application i.e. it's not a freeware, you can download .NET framework to any window Operating System and start to script your application.

PHP is known to be an easy to learn language. In fact, I must agree to this. If you have any background in C, C++, learning PHP is a breeze. In addition, PHP do come together with OOP structure. With the latest PHP 5, its OOP structure has shown some promising. Like other programming language, PHP requires more time to progress further to becoming one of best OOP language.

So what will I choose if I'd like to develop a dynamic site? My answer is PHP "if" the site is small and require less functionality. If the site is going to handle heavy request and have many functionalities, .NET is a way to go.

JSP
I've been trained for about 3 months on using JSP. However without proper basic training and knowledge on Java or JSP, I dont really seem to appreciate its powerfulness.

Like Singachea has mentioned, finding a host that supports JSP also lower my interest to develop any site based on JSP. But what I know is that JSP is used by many medium and large entreprise.

OBP is Object Based Programming which more or less like OOP but it has wider meaning.

I've always worked with .NET and PHP all my life.

In my experiance, if you are doing something professinally, I'd pick .NET, otherwise, homebrewed websites from myself, I'd always choose PHP. Very Happy
