just curious to know what tools are needed by webdesiners here in cxp forum..! Do you people use some wisiwig or develop entire code yourself in windows notepad (lol) ?

I used NVU for some time and notepad++ and currently using Dreamweaver and it's really the best
however, i still use Notepad++ as quick editor for php/html

i use texpad for simple editing and compareit to compare different codes.

I use Dreamweaver MX. This is a very good software for every webdesigning needs. If you have a bit of knowledge in HTML, you can do much more.

For me,
Visual Studio 2005 for asp.net (can't be replaced)
Sun Studio/ NetBean for jsp (can't be replaced)
NotePad++ for php

hahah, I use dreaweaver still for Php. had a small chance to use visual studio.net for C# and .net development back in Singapore time.
For Jsp, I used textpad during NTU time

I still wonder why people like php than asp.net?
asp.net is damn good and easy with VS2005. If you talk about Ajax, it's even freaking easy.

I still use .php for 2 reasons:
1- it's easy to learn and most codes are available for download
2- the servers my sites hosted are on Linux
Oh, the third one>> I failed to set up Visual Studio .NET on my local machine. Din't bother to try again since then
When we are getting older, it seems that life is getting so busy and I can't really learn something I wanna learn. Sad but true.
