Here is what I think:
- php is an easy scripting language to learn. (fast development time)
- php can be hosted on apache web server (save cost)
- the programmer is suck at ASP :p

To me:

-PHP is an easy script, but not well structured
-PHP is not the choice for enterprise
-Programmers must try ASP.NET or JFS

Why would PHP is not well structured? Have heard that since release of PHP5, PHP has become more object oriented?
and what is JFS?

Yes PHP 5 was hosted in mid 2004 with OOP capability, but somehow I don't like the way they design (C++ style.) To me, I prefer ASP.NET or JSP.

For details of JSF, read here

Hmm...I'm not really sure, but I had a friend who opened up a website development and consulting business in Seattle. Most of their projects are PHP based and they can create very nice websites. You can visit their website @ www.skysoftconsulting.com. And tell me if u agree of disagree, their websites look very nice.
I learned PHP when I did the internship last time, it is true that PHP is easy to learn. But I guess if u want to build a professional website, .NET is the best choice.
Anyway, technology is evolving all the time, later on, there will be a better one, so if we are interested in software stuff, need to keep ourself updated with the changes.

Must see this one: http://www.telerik.com/

To me, it's the best website using ASP.NET and AJAX I have ever seen.

Interestingly enough the php site passes W3C validation but the asp site failed with 46 errors.

I wonder if the passing of w3C validation have any signification??
