Recently, I've learnt lots about myspace. It means to be for friendship circle, isn't it? Then why not simply use blog? What is so good about that myspace?
Anyone here know what myspace is?

It is a bit viral I think. You have friends, and your friends have friends, so you grow your social network through who you know.
I am actually in the US right now and I saw a show with a woman last night who had over 975,000 friends on myspace. She was the number 1 female with friends on the site. People sign up with their pages and then request to be your friend, for example.
Lots of bands use it to get known, and friends in schools and such share it.

I used to have a profile on myspace. I didn't like it. I thought it was kind of gimicky. I noticed that a lot of people "pose" for their pictures - it seems very like, "hey, look how hot I can be."
That's just my opinion though - obviously a lot of people really like it.

I think I am a bit too old for the whole myspace thing myself. I actually have several of my own websites, so I do not feel the need of making money for myspace to have another one.
Although I have seen some people who have succesfully leveraged myspace to make money with their own sites, although it has gotten substantially more difficult.

Are you advertising for myspace.....we have an account on there but unusable as numerous emails to get our email address changed were ignored...plus to have more than about four songs on you have to pay...no one else does this...
Big business has taken over and companies like sony are using it to promote their products(artists)...I think rupert murdoch owns it now (sky tv) so the little guy is being muscled out...it WAS good
youtube seems ok at the moment http://www.youtube.com/ and there are plenty of others too...independant means free and friendly
