Here can we post all tools regarding PC sound or sound recorders, sound file converters...My wish is to find as much aspossible comprehensive (all-in-one ) tools.

OK, from
Findsounds you can download a frog sound or car beeping or raining...about 1,000 sounds available for free.
AIFF, WAV and AU format.

Audacity is a free sound editor and recorder. Works in Win/Linux/MAC OS.
Editing of OIGG, WAV, MP3 files possible.
Features

N-track is another sound-recorder, I think it's around $30. Almost unlimitied audio and midi tracks can be recorded. Requires Windows 98 - Vista.

have a very useful batch audio convertor...free version has less functionality but to be honest I cannot see where...the occasional message and thats all...
automatically downloads codecs if needed..eg vorbis

They also do a wave editor and again the free version seems fully functional to me Very Happy

Sounds good to me......bad english joke tome
