guys, anyone has use any good software to record JUST the music from the Karaoke VCD?

Not familiar with the format but perhaps tmpegenc or virtualdub will do what you need ie separate the sound track.

Yeah I am not sure what format they are stored on there either.

I am sure there is something out there that can rip them off into mp3s or something.

I just have never tried to do it. Why do you want to rip karoke tracks? Are you a singer guitarman!

You can first try with free open source music recording programs like Audacity.

There are really many other sound recording related scripts available on SourceFourge.net. Check.
