does forum signature counts?

I wonder if signature in the forums counts as a backlink in google term? I dont care of MSN and Yahoo.

Do you think it will helps to increase the PageRank? I'm a fan of PR update

Yes it can help but very little. It does help you index your site more easily, especially if the forums have a mod rewrite installed ( this forum has not )

Actually I think it doesn't help much since in each forum, there's so many signatures. i.e. many outbound link. Hence the distribution isn't of PR doesn't really going to be great. Ya, klaas is right about it that it helps to index your site more often.

Klaas, I think Cambodia xp forums has mod rewrite. This happends when you don't log in. So when spider visits, it sees as a seo friendly forum site.

Try to log out and click on any of the forum article and you know what i mean

For MSN sig links help a lot. For all of the big three sig links help with getting indexed.

For purposes of Page Rank and moving up the rankings Google pretty much discounts forum signatures.
