Hi guys,

Yesterday, i was reformat and make a partition for my friend's laptop. Her laptop is of Toshiba brand and it comes with a recovery DVD. It is all very user friendly that I couldn't even go to command prompt to do the fdisk and make partition from there. So I use the recovery DVD to make the partition.

however, after everything is recovered, I couldn't view the D drive. What to do??

After searching around the web, the solution is to format and make partition using extended partition inside the Device Manager. To do so, use the following:

- go to Control Panel
- go to Administrative Tool
- go to Computer management
- go to Storage > Disk Management
From there, you should be able to partition the D drive

Cheers, and good luck
