I wanted to know what is the difference between the Dual Core and Dual Processor. I have seen ads on the internet about both the technologies, but i'm unable to understand the difference between the two. can anyone explain it to me.
.dual core is one processor with effectively two processors in the same package .
Dual processor two separate processors on the one motherboard.
Similar idea in both cases of parallel task handling to speed things up but the dual core may have the edge on speed due to being on the same substrate but will also generate more heat...cook the intel way
woo, thanks for the question, feb. Thank chea ans mike for the response.. hehe, i was kind of lazy to read it out at the link, so mike answer provide just enough information.
I myself seen it a lot in Singapore newspaper (today's newpaper) that DELL is selling a dual core Server. I wonder what that was and now I know it
