We all know that Apache is the most popular web server around for corporate and non corporate use. But little do we know that Apache can be a useful tool for SEO purposes. If you are webmaster who is also into SEO, you should look into Apache's directives particularly its MODREWRITE directive.

I've seen mod_rewrite doing miracles

it can change this page url from

http://www.cambodiaxp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=588

to

http://www.cambodiaxp.com/web-design/SEO-thru-Apache

love that although i'm expert in it

Actually to be more exact, the right url has been transformed to http://www.cambodiaxp.com/forum/article588.html

i'm a big fan of mod_rewrite as it could make the sites more Search engine friendly.

I don't believe in the term "Search engine friendly" because there are many pages on the internet with high PR and high search engine rankings for popular keywords and they are dynamic pages not static SEO based links

the only pages that need seo are those which have too long strings in the title like index.php?hsdgfjhsgdfjhsgdhfgsjdhfgshdfhsd
