Hi there
I started learning flash 10 days ago in order to reach a stage where I would be able to build a complete website only by using flash.
I am currently using Macromedia Flash MX that I find extremly easy to use.
Still, there is a great variety of things to do with flash that I need to learn.
Up until this point I know the basic things (tweeing, motion guide, etc.), but I want to learn more.
I would appreciate it if someone could give me a list of things that I must learn (i.e. creating forms, making a presentation and so on) so I could look for a tutorials over the web.
Thanks, Omer

Well there are some good tutorials here to get you going...the best way to learn is to do...do a project for yourself or someone else and you will learn techniques as you go...

mike has his point on doing the project to learn more. I remember the first time I learnt flash was when I was in 2nd year Project where I needed to develope a courseware for school. The professor gave us a set of instruction on what he wanted and we developed accordingly.
well, let's get back to your question. You may like to learn some simple actionscript such as Stop(), gotoAndPlay() etc. After which, you could learn more advance such as how to control the movieclips, duplicate movie clip etc.
I suggest you read the O'reilly book on how to program with flash mx. It is really a good book.

Yes, I think that's good if you can learn more tools in Macromedia Flash..
I think what you have to learn more is creative Idea, cause we need to know more about how to make action like human walk, falling ball, rising star, making cloud ... all the action must be smoot and look real things...
I also not so good in those too. But what I doing is do and learn more like you too. Um, I also have make some action flash buttons putting in my website too. http://www.khmerres.net/FlashButtons/.
Um, Otherwise I know two good sites that teaching you about those flash anmitation and action script... the website also collection all the nice animation, flah game tutorial, effect ... .. complete site...
alot of flash action script are here...

I am also a beginner at flash but I am still learning. I don't think I have enough skill to build a whole website with it and I've studied it for around a year. I'm going to follow some tutorials though.

I'm working on a simple flash tutorial at the moment so I will post it here later. Flash can be a very tedious thing to do and I'm still beginning but if I can help in anyway, I would be glad.
