Anyone had a chance to play around with google trends?

http://www.google.com/trends

It allows you to see where specific search phrases are most popular. For example if I put in "Cambodia" it shows me the number one location for searches for the word Cambodia originate from Phnum Penh.

You can also compare two different words at the same time by using a comma.

Interesting to play around with, at the very least.

yep, klaas . I think for SEO reason, it will help us to compare some keywords. It's a good tool indeed Smile

Yet I can't get a grasp of it yet.
Thanks triumph for sharing.

Yes I think it is good for SEO purposes too. Useful for tracking the long-term trends of specific keywords or even related keywords against each other.

Also good to look for general words and find out which areas are most interested.

If you looked up webhosting and it said the primary search area was cambodia, you might make a webhosting site for cambodia. Smile That way you would be focused at the people who are most interested in the subject and might siphon them all the general topic.

Oh, yeah... google trend seems to be good, but don't you think it could be a flaw? What happens when one day google trend shows that pepsi is more popular than cock? What will affect the stock prices of both companies?

I assume you meant coke Smile I don't know if it will effect stock prices. Consider google trends more like a popularity contest. It might have some ripple effects to other areas though, so who knows it might effect stock prices in some remote way.

Cock... hehehehe.

Google Trends seems really cool. I like how it shows which countries hit are coming from. I love looking at stats! I'm telling you, Google can do no wrong. Although I'm skeptical about its accuracy.

Dang! Pepsi's more popular than cock? I need to seriously start drinking those Pepsi products then, and figure out what I've been missing out on! Laughing

Never played with Google Trends, but now I am going to have to, it would seem Very Happy
