let me explain it very simple:
You create a site in photoshop, like the looks of it.
Then you slice what you want to use, like buttons, backgrounds etc.
Then you save it for the web ( file>save for web )
Then you open the html file ( which photoshop made ) in your editor like dreamweaver or frontpage and start editing it like a normal website!

yeah it does make it alot simpler.
I have learned this myself recently so... I normally just build the sites in pohtoshop, so just the graphics and sold that! That's it lol! But now I am selling total websites
Good luck all!

Wow I never heard of doing that. It makes good sense though. You get the whole template layout in PS and then cut it out and make it into a web page. I normally just do everything on the web.
I can't believe how long it took me to realize you could save images for the web in Photoshop.

I think, we should use different tools to make website.
Photoshop is a tool for only making Layout of website. It's not mean that we make a complete website.
I think website www.about.com is a help full website who can teach you alot about how to make a good website by using many tools.

You can't make a whole website in photoshop!
I use photoshop for the images, and dreamweaver for the code!

Photoshop is more useful for web designing if we compare to other graphic program.
U can use photoshop to design layout and use another web program to create a real website such as Dreamweaver, MS FrontPage, n many more programs for web development.
Ok, here the simple step that i do:
- Design layout in photoshop and slice it.
- Save important slice that is needed for website such as banner, button etc
- Go to Dreamweaver, create table n put those picture that just saved together
- Start add link text, and html tag or script
- Save file as Html or php etc
- Then it ready
