Tom Cruise is short?

In a conversation with my friends, we were talking about Mission Impossible 3 and my friends say "Tom Cruise is SHORT!" .

Can you belive that? I dont think Tom Cruise is short! He's a cool handsome actor Razz

Yeah Tom Cruise is short. I would guess he is 5'8" or even less. The reality is that most big movie stars are short. There are some that are taller, but even someone like Sylvester Stallone, whom I saw in New York once when I was in high school is very short. He is probably 5'6" at best.

There are many other examples... They are definately bigger than life on the big screen.

Guess what! I was catching his latest movie: Mission Impossible 3 today after a very bad day at work today.

Heh ya, he does look short in the movie but who cares, he's good at acting!

triumph, what is 5'8" means in meter? We here in Asia use Meter as a measurement.

I forgot the US has ridiculous measurement system.

5 feet 8inches is about 1.72 meters. He may even be a little bit shorter than that. I think the average height in the US is around 1.75 meters maybe 1.77 or so.

Thats probably why he got dumped by nicole kidman, she's a LOT taller than he is. Or maybe she just got tired of his freakyness Smile

Hehe yeah, there was quite a difference between the two. Tom Cruise is 5'7" and Nicole Kidman is 5'10 1/2" supposedly. Amusing, because Tom Cruise is below average height and Nicole is above average height for a woman.

So 5'7" is 67 inches... 1.70 meters
Nicole would be 1.79 meters

Tom Cruise is really small, and also happens to be a scientologists. I really don't like some of the things he says in interviews about his weird phsyco religion he follows. Just my opinion, sorry to change the subject.
