I notice when I search some keywords in google, I found out that google put a words such as "Supplemental". This is especiall for forum type of site.

What actually is this Supplemental? Does it affect my site's ranking?

My understanding are these are pages kept in a secondary index. It could be because google can no longer find them on your site, or that they are duplicates of other pages. At least I believe those are the most common reasons for pages to go into the supplemental index.
