I believe it's important to submit sites to web directories to boost the PR but the weird thing is the directories themselves - i never opened a web directory to look for a site Very Happy

I've looked for sites in dir.Yahoo.com. It's paid directory and even not cheap, but highly selected.

I'm looking for explanations in Wikipedia and click on links below the articles many times.

You can write your article in Wikipedia...

I've lookeed for blogs in http://Blogwise.com or in http://Technorati.com. Submitting is free.
And I've looked for forums in http://Big-boards.com .
